Game Guide
Everything you need to understand how Idle Reactor works — the core loop, how Energy is produced, how upgrades and tiers scale, and how Prestige resets fit into long-term progress.
Overview
Idle Reactor is a single-currency idle game. The only resource is Energy. You earn Energy by clicking the core directly, and by owning upgrades that generate Energy automatically every second.
Energy is spent on upgrades. Your cumulative lifetime Energy determines which reactor tieryou're on — each tier is a different 3D structure and multiplies all of your production.
Energy & Clicking
Press Charge Core to manually add Energy. Your base click value is 1, increased by click-type upgrades (Control Rod, Plasma Capacitor, Quantum Lattice) and multiplied by your current reactor tier and any banked Prestige.
Auto-generators add to your Energy per second (EPS), which is applied continuously — including while the game is closed (see Offline Progress below).
Upgrades
Each upgrade can be purchased repeatedly. Every level increases the cost by that upgrade's growth rate, so early levels are cheap and later levels require serious stockpiles of Energy.
| Upgrade | Effect | Base Cost | Growth / level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Control Rod | +1 Energy per click. | 15 | ×1.14 |
| Coolant Loop | Auto-generates 0.2 Energy/sec. | 50 | ×1.15 |
| Steam Turbine | Auto-generates 1.5 Energy/sec. | 400 | ×1.15 |
| Plasma Capacitor | +8 Energy per click. | 1.20K | ×1.16 |
| Containment Array | Auto-generates 12 Energy/sec. | 5.00K | ×1.17 |
| Fusion Core | Auto-generates 80 Energy/sec. | 40.0K | ×1.18 |
| Quantum Lattice | +150 Energy per click. | 150K | ×1.19 |
| Micro Singularity | Auto-generates 600 Energy/sec. | 1.00M | ×1.20 |
Reactor Tiers
Your reactor automatically upgrades to a new tier once your lifetime Energy earnedcrosses that tier's threshold. Each tier swaps in a new 3D model and multiplies both your click value and EPS.
| Tier | Name | Unlocks at | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Spark Core | 0 | ×1 |
| 2 | Ember Stack | 500 | ×2 |
| 3 | Cinder Vault | 5.00K | ×4 |
| 4 | Furnace Bastion | 50.0K | ×8 |
| 5 | Pyre Citadel | 250K | ×16 |
| 6 | Ashspire Tower | 1.00M | ×32 |
| 7 | Solarite Spire | 5.00M | ×64 |
| 8 | Zenith Monolith | 25.0M | ×128 |
| 9 | Helios Complex | 100M | ×256 |
Prestige
Once your lifetime Energy passes 1,000,000, the Meltdown & Rebuild button becomes available. Using it resets your Energy, upgrades, and tier progress back to the start — but grants permanent Prestige tokens.
floor(sqrt(lifetimeEnergy / 1,000,000))+10% production multiplier, applied to both clicks and EPS, even after resets.Saving & Offline Progress
Progress is saved automatically to your browser's local storage. When you return, Idle Reactor calculates how long you were away and credits you with the Energy your generators would have produced — capped at 8 hours of offline production.
Connecting a Solana wallet also syncs your progress to our servers, so you can pick up where you left off on a different device. If both copies of your save disagree, the one with more lifetime Energy wins.
$REACTOR Token
$REACTOR launches on Pump.fun. Connect your wallet and claim converts your unclaimed Energy into $REACTOR at the rate shown on the Play screen, subject to a minimum balance and a 24-hour cooldown between claims.
Payouts are not automatic. Creator fees collected on Pump.fun accumulate in a treasury wallet, which is claimed and distributed to players manually on a regular basis. The Play screen shows the current treasury balance and a link to view it on Solscan.
